Ray White Group has been awarded the Contribution to Community Award at the 2020 Annual REA Excellence Awards (AREAs) for the Beyond the Bricks campaign.
The Contribution to Community Award is designed to recognise companies and individuals supporting not-for-profit organisations or initiatives in their local community – either through charitable donations or commitment to local community groups and initiatives.
Beyond the Bricks was launched in January 2020, in response to the most devastating bushfire season we’ve ever seen in Australia. The real estate industry banded together to fundraise in their communities, and to support charities on the ground in bushfire regions. Nearly 30 real estate agencies joined the cause and came together as one to launch the Beyond the Bricks campaign. The campaign managed to raise over $1,500,000 for fire-affected communities. These funds were split between four chosen charity partners – The Salvation Army, WWF, Australian Red Cross, and St Vincent de Paul.
“As real estate businesses we play an important role in the community, and our communities are our family. For us to be nominated and win this award, is really humbling and fills us with incredible pride,” Natalie Hortz, Corporate Affairs Manager said.
“It was really warming to see so many brands and groups come together. We’ve never united under one umbrella for one cause, so to achieve such an amazing result, it’s a really rewarding feeling,” Todd Alexander, Marketing Manager said.
Nick Psarros from Ray White Port Adelaide took out Top Residential Agent for South Australia. In a year like no other, Mr Psarros managed to sell 152 properties, achieving over $87 million worth of sold property.
Ray White South Australia CEO Matt Lindblom said Mr Psarros was an extremely deserving winner of this award.
“Nick work’s tirelessly for his clients, evident by his customer reviews as well as the number of referrals and repeat business from his past clients. He is a great leader in the Ray White Group and on behalf of the network and the Ray White family, I would like to say congratulations to Nick and his team,” Mr Lindblom said.
